The Amazing Race Canada has proven to be just as successful if not more so than the American version. In the first season they stayed only in Canada, which was interesting to see all the great places, history, and things to do in this country. In the second season they went to two other countries (probably because they were sponsors of some sort).
I am trying desperately to get my 21 year old daughter and husband to try out for the third season. They just have to submit a video. Today a local talk show posted on Twitter the audition video from last season's winners. There were also tips as to what to do and not to do when you submit your video. I am pestering my husband and daughter to do this. It's an opportunity of a lifetime; why wouldn't you want to do it? I would do it myself but with my fibromyalgia I don't think I could handle to physical "running" aspects of it. My daughter is smart as a whip. I think they could do it. They would only be gone for 3 weeks. And if they were to make it to the end that would be a bonus, otherwise it's just an opportunity to do things they probably wouldn't normally get to do.
Submissions have to be in by November 24th. That means they have 10 days to put something together. It means gathering up some photographs of them together throughout the years (which could be difficult). I may have to do all the work for this but I sure hope they do it. I know I've got them thinking now.
